Choose & Book
Chevin Medical Practice now offers patients referrals to Secondary Care via the "Choose and Book" service. Choose and Book is a service that lets you choose your hospital or clinic and book your first appointment via the telephone or online (and a button at the foot of this page is provided).
When you and your GP agree that you need an appointment, you can choose which hospital or clinic you wish to go to. You will also be able to choose the date and time of your appointment.
Some clinics are not available via this system (notably Wharfedale General Hospital services can be patchy) so it may be that you are referred outside of Choose and Book, after discussion between you and your GP.
If you want to find out about a referral already made and you can't find an answer via the official Choose and Book site, please contact the Practice and ask to speak with one of our Secretaries.
Please do not contact the original referring GP directly unless you are advised to do so by their secretarial colleague as referrals are a specialist process and it is likely they will not be able to offer you the assistance you require, potentially wasting your time and theirs.
