Please note that local pharmacies and GP surgeries do NOT hold any stocks of anti-viral medication and you do NOT need a GP's Prescription to get anti-virals if needed.
Pandemic Swine Flu Vaccination
The UK Government and Department of Health (DOH) recommend a free vaccination against Swine Flu for certain target groups
Currently vaccination is only being offered to
NB: Those without disease and over 65 years of age are NOT currently in the target group.
We have to book patients in groups of 10 to maximise the use of the vaccine vials which have a 24 hour shelf-life once opened (and contain 10 standard doses each). This means we need patients to book in advance.
Due to resource issues, the NHS & Practice are unable to provide ANY Pandemic Swine flu vaccinations outside of the groups above.
