Choose & Book
Chevin Medical Practice offers a wide range of additional medical services some of which are free to our patients and some are not within the funding the Practice receives from the NHS so you will be charged directly. You can find out more information by clicking on a button on the left. If you would like to know more please contact us.
Travel Clinic Service
The Practice offers a comprehensive Pre-Travel advice and vaccination service in-house.
Holidays should be relaxing, safe and improve well being. It is important that you are properly protected from diseases that you would not normally encounter in the UK. Dont bring home an unwelcome and potentially serious souvenir!
Please make an appointment with one of our trained nurses and bring your holiday itinerary with you. Please ensure you inform us when booking that it is for a Travel Clinic appointment specifically.
Travel vaccinations/antimalarials or other medicines to take 'in case' whilst abroad are not covered by the NHS and will attract a Private Charge from us and also the dispensing Pharmacist (who will charge you the cost of the medicine directly). General travel advice is however provided free of charge, as a service to our patients.
Please see the list of indicative charges below and bring an appropriate form of payment with you when attending. We accept Cash and Cheques but do not accept any card/online payments at this time.
Please note that we are not a Yellow Fever Centre but can direct you to a local service should you require this vaccination.
You should be aware that prophylaxis taken during a holiday or vaccination beforehand does not guarantee protection from disease.
You should always contact the Practice if you feel unwell with unusual symptoms or unexplained fever for up to 12 months after travel, especially to malarial endemic regions, regardless of whether you have taken prophylaxis or had any form of travel vaccination.
Please telephone 01943 858300 to make an appointment
