Reason for Your Appointment

To ensure you are seen by the most appropriate clinician and reduce delays, our reception staff will ask you the reason for the appointment when you call. Please do not be offended when the receptionist asks you for a few details about your problem, this information is treated in the strictest confidence and our trained staff will then arrange an appointment that best suits your needs.

 Nurse Appointments & Helathcare Appointments

You can make appointments with our Practice Nurses, Nurse Associate and Health care assistants for a range of treatments and support, including:

· Long term condition monitoring and management including

Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension and cardiovascular disease.

· Immunisations and vaccinations: delivering childhood and adult immunisations, including travel health advice and vaccination.

· Health screening and promotion: Cervical screening (smears) and NHS health checks.

· Wound assessments, dressings and advice on wound management.

Removal of clips/staples and sutures.

· Spirometry

· Contraceptive pill checks and depo contraceptive injections.

Please contact a member of the reception team to be booked in with the appropriate clinician.

Saturday Appointments

Nurse appointments are now available on Saturday mornings once a month between 09.30 – 11.30 at the local ‘Extended Hours Hub’ at Aireborough Family Practice at Silver Lane Surgery, 1 Suffolk Court, Silver Lane, Yeadon LS19 7JN. Please note that these appointments can only be booked via a Receptionist and are not available online.

NHS Healthchecks

NHS health check poster

We offer a free NHS Health Check which is a check-up for adults aged between 40-74, looking for risks of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia. Please speak to a Receptionist for further information.
